Bonnie S. Butler

Bonnie S. Butler 66 saw her last tomorrow. succumbing to pancreatic cancer on Saturday February 7, 2026. After high school she served active duty as a cook at Loring Air Force Base in Maine from 1978-1981. Bonnie spent many years away and returned to the area in 1999. She Worked for a number of local companies. You may have run into her at Scotsman Penny Saver, Koch Body Shop, Hillside Varick or Bill Cram Chevrolet.

She enjoyed camping, trying new recipes , dabbling with crafts and reading herself to sleep every night. She journeys on ahead of her husband, Tim (Stanley) Shumway Jr. after sharing more than 26 years together marrying August 28, 2010.

Bonnie leaves her only child, Kimberly and granddaughter Madeline, her step children Wanda, Renee and Tim and their families. Her brotherDavid, sisters Kim, Dorothy and Donna and their families. Predeceased by her parents Sharon (MaryAnn) and Kenneth Butler, brothers Kenny and Rick, sisters, Debbie and Ardell. In-laws Stanley and Carol Shumway,
sister and brother in-law Ruth and Sealy Deal. Family and friends are grateful for Bonnie's hospice nurse Katie and her team. She was blessed to have a wonderful family and generous friends that supported her till the end. Thank you all.

There will be no calling hours per Bonnie's request. her interment willtake place at the NYS Veterans Cemetery Finger Lakes at the convenienceof the family.
