David Scott Roubie

David Scott Roubie 9-27-1954 - 6-8-2026
David passed peacefully in hospice after a long battle with cancer. As a 1972 Graduate of Mynderse Academy, he received a Chef Certificate from Boces while in high school and worked at the Seneca Nursing Home in the kitchen. Guaranteed Parts was part of his work history leading up to driving the elderly to appointments at the County House Building. GTE Sylvania was his next work journey before he decided to go to Buffalo State. After a year, he earned a Scholarship to go to FIT in NYC, earning his associate's degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising in 1984. He then returned to Buffalo State to complete his Bachelor's in Arts in 1986. He became a speaker on Public Broadcasting in Buffalo on Antiques. He became an expert in 20th-century American Modern, Art Nouveau, and Late Victorian, spending several years living in Ft Erie, Canada. Over the years, he resided in Buffalo, NYC, and Canada with his Antique Business, establishing a store in Rochester. He also owned Ricky's Diner in Rochester. His love of music also created a wonderful collection of albums. He did return to Seneca Falls to help his sister with the care of their parents. He is survived by Michele Roubie, his devoted sister. Nephew, Michael Scott DeVine, Niece, Sierra Elizabeth DeVine-Ende (Thomas), His longtime love, Kate Renfield of Ohio, and devoted friend, Eric Raichlin of Auburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Robert William and Elizabeth Bone Roubie. A Brother Robert Gregory Roubie. David loved animals and rescued several dogs over the years. His charity of choice is the American Pit Bull Foundation. Apbf. dog or 208 Glenway Street, Suite 53, Belmont, NC 28012 in place of flowers. Upon David's request, there will be no calling hours. A private family service will be held at their convenience. Arrangements are in the care of Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home, 32 State St., Seneca Falls.
